Can I register my friend or family member for a race weekend if I’m not running that weekend with my club runDisney membership?
No, guaranteed race registration is for the club runDisney member.
How hard is it to get into club runDisney?
Currently it is challenging to gain club runDisney membership. Current members get first dibs on renewal. Once members of the current tier have renewed their membership, then registration for that tier opens up for the next highest tier, once those members have had the opportunity to upgrade their membership then it opens up for the next tier, and once they’ve upgraded their membership it opens up to the general public. At the time of writing this it would be very rare for a general public member to purchase a membership in a tier higher than Silver. From my point of view, if you’re in the general public you may be able to purchase Silver membership which would give you the opportunity to buy Gold the following year, and Platinum the following year.
Can I get early registration for the next race with a club runDisney membership?
Club runDisney membership benefits begin January 1 and end December 31 of the following year. So if you register in June 2025, benefits begin the following calendar year, so in this case January 1, 2026. This means you have to wait until any race registrations occurring on or after January 1, 2026 to use those memberships like early registration access.
Do I get a better corral with club runDisney membership?
Yes! You get upgraded corral placement if you are a Platinum member during the calendar year during which your race falls.
Do I get a free race registration with a club runDisney membership?
No. club runDisney membership doesn’t include race registration fees. You are still responsible for race registration fees.
Is club runDisney worth it?
This is a personal decision. Many runners say absolutely, it’s definitely worth it. While other runners say no, it’s not. If you really want to gain early access to the expo, have guaranteed race registration and have upgraded corral placement then Platinum, I think, would be worth it. And therefore having Silver and Gold in the years prior to even have the opportunity to purchase Platinum would be worth it. Personally, I think having Silver is only worth it because you’d have the opportunity to upgrade to Gold the following year. And Gold is worth it for the guaranteed race entry and early expo access, and of course to have the opportunity to upgrade to Platinum another year.
